Morris Lewis

Morris-LewisMorris Lewis began studying classical piano and music theory at an early age, later expanding to choral works, violin, and clarinet.

Relocating to the Triangle area of North Carolina in the late 70s, he continued to rehearse and perform while studying computer science at Duke University, playing big band saxophone for many years with the IBM Jazz Band and Blues in the Night Jazz Orchestra.

Morris enjoys very active participation with various groups engaged in combo and ensemble work, and routine playing engagements with numerous musical groups throughout the area, performing classical, jazz, dixieland, traditional, and big band music.

In addition to the North Carolina Saxophone Ensemble, Morris performs with the Holiday Saxophone Quartet and the Triangle Wind Ensemble.
